Opening the Path for Bio-Based Innovation:

AI-powered environmental impact assessment for a circular economy.

About the project

ARGONAUT aims to create an accessible, AI-powered tool that calculates the environmental and climate impact of bio-based products across their entire lifecycle, using blockchain technology for secure tracking through a “digital passport.”
The project is actively empowering small and medium-sized producers to make more sustainable decisions by providing them with reliable data and comparisons of different value chain options. This decision support helps producers choose pathways that align with their environmental goals.
ARGONAUT also supports the EU’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, fostering sustainable value chains and driving the shift towards a circular bioeconomy across Europe.

Our role

RAINNO will lead Work Package 5 (Business Models, Outreach, and Communication) related to dissemination, exploitation and communication activities being responsible for the project branding, stakeholder engagement, guidelines and plans for multiplying the expected impact. Additionally, RAINNO will also conduct societal readiness analysis aiming to understand stakeholders decision parameters when it comes to sustainable and climate neutral production processes, and societal engagement analysis examining consumers willingness-to-engage with ARGONAUT’s AI-powered tool (JASON) and their overall willingness-to-pay the “green premium”.
